Shotts
Wester Hailes
Kingsknowe
Addiewell
Breich
Fauldhouse
I require Slateford and West Calder on the Lothian part of the Shotts route, plus Hartwood on the Lanarkshire side which is my sole remaining station within the Strathclyde PTE area.
Yes, I went via the former Longridge railway path.
It was a pleasant walk in contrast to the walk between Wester Hailes and Kingsknowe (which looks rough).

Thinking of doing Breich next week sometime. How long is the walk via this path to Fauldhouse? ... can't seem to find it on google maps. Did you do the morning or evening service?

It's one of those paths which doesn't exist on Google Maps, doing it by the main road took me roughly 45 minutes last year
Although this path could be it as it looks like a former line
It took me around 55 minutes or so to walk from Breich to Fauldhouse. It was the evening service I used, as the bus times are not that great, and there was a 90 minute gap between the westbound Glasgow (due Breich 18:33 or thereabouts) and the 20:03 eastbound Edinburgh from Fauldhouse.
That is the very path I used. There is a fingerpost pointing at it.
Not in my book - the station needs to be relocated and/or layout significantly altered in some way or anotherA ponder for you, Livingston South has effectively been rebuilt for the Shotts Line wiring, brand new platforms/access paths but rebuilt in the same location. Would you class that as a new station?
