I require Slateford and West Calder on the Lothian part of the Shotts route, plus Hartwood on the Lanarkshire side which is my sole remaining station within the Strathclyde PTE area.
Did you enjoy the walk from Breich to Fauldhouse?
Yes, I went via the former Longridge railway path.
It was a pleasant walk in contrast to the walk between Wester Hailes and Kingsknowe (which looks rough).
Unusual to do that walk unless you missed the connection at Wester Hailes as the more common walk is from Kingsknowe to/from Slateford
Wandle Park, Ampere Way, Waddon Marsh, Reeves Corner (Tramlink)

A very good holiday in Spain!

Thinking of doing Breich next week sometime. How long is the walk via this path to Fauldhouse? ... can't seem to find it on google maps. Did you do the morning or evening service?
It's one of those paths which doesn't exist on Google Maps, doing it by the main road took me roughly 45 minutes last year
Although this path could be it as it looks like a former line
It took me around 55 minutes or so to walk from Breich to Fauldhouse. It was the evening service I used, as the bus times are not that great, and there was a 90 minute gap between the westbound Glasgow (due Breich 18:33 or thereabouts) and the 20:03 eastbound Edinburgh from Fauldhouse.
That is the very path I used. There is a fingerpost pointing at it.
I used the very same path after coming across it as I was walking down the main road.

Shoutout to the folks who monitor the stations in the Glasgow area who must have thought I was a complete madman

* Awarded double marks as although I already scored it in 1999, this was during when I was on an unintended 20 year break from recording railway journeys.

May and June:
St Poelten Hbf
Wien (Vienna) Hbf
(All shacks between Darlington and Middlesbrough inclusive cleared)
A ponder for you, Livingston South has effectively been rebuilt for the Shotts Line wiring, brand new platforms/access paths but rebuilt in the same location. Would you class that as a new station?
I walked from Lostock Hall to Bamber Bridge as it was a nice evening and I saw where another line went to Preston. It looks like it would have been possible to depart Preston on this line and go round through Lostock Hall and back to Preston on the current line. That would be handy for a Scotland to Blackpool service as a reversal at Preston would not be needed.
Highbury & Islington
Not in my book - the station needs to be relocated and/or layout significantly altered in some way or another
As I probably won't get any more into my book this month
Shacks revisited June 18

I would agree with that. The platforms would have to be in an entirely different position for it to count as a new station.
Burneside (might as well, as WCR stops there!)
