Chiltern and Southern should be so hard to do (maybe Southern will be though as if it is 3 shacks that you haven't yet had then they will probably be very hard to get!).

Good luck!

The hard ones are done, it be Rye, Appledore & Plumpton so three with an hourly service, perfect for a Sunday if I could find a Sunday where I can do them without involving a rail replacement bus!

3 intensive days there, fair play! Putting me to shame good sir, I think I need to really get cracking next year!

As they say, anything you can do I can do better!:lol::lol:<D

Have you visited Clifton (Manchester) yet? The Farnworth Tunnel works have rendered it closed for a couple of months but I believe it is back to normal on 14th December.

I had hoped to get it done on Friday, but then the tunnel overrun happened, and it was down to being served by one rail replacement bus a day so I changed my plans and attacked the Glossop line during evening peak. I think it is quite easy to get Clifton in, do Ardwick on the 16:47 to Ashburys, and train it back to Piccadilly, then get across to Victoria for the 18:10 service towards Wigan which calls at Clifton (and then either a bus or a 1.2 mile walk to Swinton)

Ah, still an excellent feat nonetheless of getting those pesk TfGM halts.
I did actually take the train to Clifton from Salford Crescent, with a pushbike on the early rush-hour train some years ago now. Some very dirty looks from those incredulous I'd take a bike on such a rammed service.

I did a circular GLC - CAR - LAN - BIF - CAR - GLC that day, hence only the one new station scored.

Yay! Congrats Lord Kite! How long was the fester at Islip?

Timetabled 6 minutes, actually 10 minutes due to delay.

12/12

Appledore
Rye

Plumpton will have to wait as southern are doing what Govia owned companies do best and cancelling services left right and centre. :(

Ok then. I thought that it was much longer than that!

Hopefully you'll get Plumpton soon though!

To be honest, it will probably now have to wait until the new year, but should be easier to get than the other two (distance & time wise).

-----

As for Islip, there are some big gaps, there are some small gaps, but I found the 20:08 from Oxford Parkway calls at Islip, and the 20:21 arrival into Parkway also calls, which gives a doable +6, as it be a nice footbridge (and as the 20:08 sits at Parkway for 18-odd minutes, it should depart on time

Jeez, 33 in one day is a lot! I think my own record was also in London back in the autumn, 35 in one day. Not bad considering I didn't reach London until gone 1430 that day!
