There's 86 turns of duty on weekdays. Just under half are very unsociable hours - 17 start before 05:00, 21 finish after midnight. 2 night turns. Most of London Overground's depots are similar in this regard. I believe Chingford though, on different terms and conditions and lower pay, don't have any starts before 05:00, much fewer finishes after midnight, but more nights.
Back to New Cross Gate; Saturdays have 16 starts before 05:00, 18 finishes after midnight (latest finish is 01:27), and 2 nights, out of 86 turns of duty (same number as weekdays). Sundays have the earliest start at 05:25, 17 finishes after midnight (latest finish 01:29), and no nights. 72 turns in total.
I believe it's a four day week with three rest days a week, although it has been suggested that it could be an 'average four day week' which would mean more rest days some weeks and less on others. Sundays are part of the working week. The average running turn length is 8h15, but spare turns in the roster are all 9h30 to make the hours up to 35 on paper, but should be nearer 33 in reality. Minimum turn length is 6h00, with maximum being 9h30.
That's the case for all the 'original' London Overground depots - again Chingford has different T&Cs regarding turn lengths, average turn lengths, and Sunday working.
