Not sure if this better goes into International transport or Speculative ideas (mods can work this out) but I'll start here.
Should Cotral Spa, a bus company in Italy that operates rural and regional routes in the Italian region of Lazio (where the capital, Rome, is located) buy Alexander Dennis Enviro500 MMCs to replace its Neoplan Centroliner DDs?
These Neoplan double deckers must be getting knackered, being from 2007 and having worked the most important routes that can be 50 to 100 km long such as those from Rome to Rieti, or Rome to Subiaco, or various short local routes around Viterbo.
Its Neoplan Centroliner DDs (fleet numbered 0001 to 0031) are 12-13 (possibly even 14m) tri axle double deckers with two doors (a single leaf door at the front and double leaf door in the middle) built to European class II spec. I think ADL Enviro500s would be a perfect replacement - now that they're also available in Class II spec, they could be well suited to Cotral routes. And if this became true, it would make the first ever Italian bus company to buy British built buses.
So what do you think? Would the Enviro500 make a perfect replacement for the Centroliner DD?
