Well...... they have purchased and converted Class 319/769s for transporting mail and recently Class 360/2s for the same use. However I wondered if any other B/EMUs should be converted to mail train like Class 350/2s to be cascaded from LNWR/Class 365/Class 379.......

They will convert the amount they need and what is most cost effective for them. They won't go out looking for random other classes to do it with until they run out of what is available.

Have to say, this topic is a bit premature even by Speculative standards.

Yeah, the class 325s. They have Networker cabs but essentially they're class 319s in terms of bodyshells and equipment. In regular use on mail trains on the WCML.

Cheers - I thought I remembered seeing an article on them.

They've already ordered a number of Class 93 tri-modes for delivery in 2023, I assume that'll mean it'll be hooked up to converted Mk3s or Mk4s with freight doors cut into the side.

No, the 93s are for proper freight. And possibly charter passenger traffic. And you don’t want to be cutting big doors in the side of a 23m Mark 3 or Mark 4 coach - it would significantly weaken them.

Especially when there's a surplus of Mk3 vehicles with large holes already cut in them! unfortunately I doubt 93s are anywhere near MU compatible with 80s BR EMUs, so no easy propelling off wires...

All these units are being withdrawn because they're life expired ( edit: maybe not 365s ), how long are they going to last doing courier work?

The design for conversion of Mark 3s to mail/parcels vans already exists.
