Hello

I am new to this forum (today) but I am trying to find out some information about an interview I have been invited to.

I have taken the telephone test and passed the assessment at level 3 for a grade 2 position.

I have a panel interview coming up and I'm trying to prepare for the interview but I have no clue what it actually consists of. Is there anyone that would be able to give me a bit more information about this stage of the process?

Any information would be of great value :)

Thanks

Went well apart from 1 question which I didn't really know how to answer. I did find out that there is only 1 position now instead of 2. How did you get on? Saw you had one Friday I assume it's cuxton?

Ah that one, heard about it. I know someone who applied to a signalling position but the question that threw him was the one about concentration when there is nothing else to do.

Yeah I had my interview for Cuxton on Friday, went well but not perfect. Yes there is only 1 position now as someone at a higher grade dropped down into Cuxton.

Am I right in believing we find out by the end of this week via email LeeW?

I believe so, I did ask and they said should be by the end of the week. They said they had another interview to do after mine, and gave me the impression that was the last one.

No it was about organising a street party
Yes,you get to organise a lot of street parties at Cuxton signalbox:roll:,this is what happens when people who don't know a thing about running a railway are allowed to decide who works on it....

It's clearly not about that is it? It's finding out about how someone acts/the way they are organised/their personality. Also shows your confidence if your willing to sit there and talk about anything freely, also they know people share questions, so if they have a lot you can be "less prepapred"

I realise that it's not specifically about that Jay,hence the rolling eyes, but in my opinion what you need for a specialised job is questions tailored for that particular postion,ie,dealing with emergency situations, the value of communications, things that will get straight to the point rather than the circumspect way that these generic questions, that all different companies prospective employees get, appear to be.
