Hi all. I need to go from Slough to New Cross. I'm not familiar with the Underground so I'm not sure what ticket I would need. It's a one-off so I was thinking maybe a Day Anytime, zone 1-7.

Any help would be appreciated.

Do you require to travel anywhere else in London?

Zone 7 does not apply to travel from Slough. Zone 7 only comprises of Carpenders Park, Chorleywood, Rickmansworth, Croxley, Watford and Moor Park [6/7].

If you need the ability to travel to Zone 7, you will either have to pay separate from Moor Park or get a Zones 1-9 Travelcard and pay for Slough - Boundary Zone 6 separate.

If money is key you can travel on a Zone 1-6 travelcard. This is valid on bus route 81 from Slough to Hounslow where you can pick up the tube. This ticket is £8.50 for the off-peak version, valid after 0930 and is not valid on any other transport in Slough. Expect the journey to take 2 hours or more each way. You should be able to buy the ticket at Slough Station even though it is not valid on any trains from there.
