Passed Southampton Maritime FLT today and there was a big new construction being put together at the London end where the dead shunters used to be. Large green girder structures but parallel to the sidings rather than across them as a crane would be. Anyone any ideas as to what is happening there?

Given the size is it possible they'll be assembled from a kit of parts off line and then moved into position later?

Thanks for that - it makes sense from what I saw today. Also looked like land was being cleared for more tracks so all fits in with press release.
