Apparently the tanker has arrived a short while ago but if the tour continues it will be approx 2 hours late.

I assume the outcome will be on arrival at Eastbourne it will layover until it's scheduled departure to Southend at 16.30, missing out the Hastings and return scheduled for around 13.00 to 14.30?

Passed through Lewes only 72 late thanks to very slack timings. Put straight into sidings at Eastbourne so does look like Hastings round trip cancelled.

Still heading to hastings by the looks of it... due in around 17:00.
The original schedule was Southend - Eastbourne - Hastings - Eastbourne - Hastings - Southend. The first visit to Hastings was cancelled.

With no triangle at Eastbourne, going to Eastbourne via Lewes and back via a reversal at Hastings facilitates the steam engine leading the excursion for all except the bit between Eastbourne and Hastings.

All that just to get a kettle on the front...
