just a quick one, ive got a job interview for southern coming up soon and want to do some home work on the company, can anyone tell me what class types southern operate, plus does anyone know about the structured interview questions that southern ask.

Any other tips or pointers anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated

"Southern" EMU/DMUs,

Class 377/1 DC only

Class 377/2 Dual Voltage (I think 377/2 377/3 377/4 are all dual voltage)

Class 456s DC

Class 455s DC

171 DMU (171/7 2-cars and 171/8 4 cars)

They should be receiving some class class 313s from LO aswell.

They also have the 377/3s and 377/4s, as well as the 442s and 460 (albeit under the Gatwick Express brand).

I knew about the 377/3s and 377/4s but totally forgot about the 442s and 460s though!

Judging from what i could find on the interweb, it all seems pretty standard, the testing doesnt bother me though its the interview, always seems to be my downfall.

Depends on what role you go for. But be prepared for competancy questions!!!
