GBRF as far as I am currently aware. Are GBRf doing all of the 455 scrap moves or will ROG do some too?
828 and 846 TuesAnyone know which units are due for scrap next week?
They famously demolish trains at a much faster rate than Booths or EastleighThe guys at Sims Newport are gonna be busy chopping up the 455s since they seem to be heading there a bit rapidly!
It would be surprising if some trains lingered on at the Newport site for weeks but a day or so after arrival is when the machines reduce them to nowt! Tbh I find it a bit brutal that Sims use excavators to dismantle rolling stock as does Raxstar at Eastleigh WorksThey famously demolish trains at a much faster rate than Booths or Eastleigh
Eversholt are losing lease income unless they are being compensated for early termination of leases which if so doesn't really make sense as I can't see that is saving the operators very much cash as its hardly if they've shut Stewarts Lane and made everyone redundant.
I’m out on trains today and was surprised to see one Epsom Downs circuit running as a 10 and then the next one a 3 car! Two 6 cars on the 1Ixx’s along with some 5 and 10 cars.I’m seeing some odd formations at Sutton today
Others were suggesting Eversholt were making money from terminating the leases I was suggesting this was unlikely to be the case and you have confirmed that. I hope Southern came to an accommodation with Eversholt that they didn't waste any money bring them up to a relevant standard before being returned to lessor.Eversholt are loosing no money here as the lease was due to expire at the end of the GTR contract in May, so they are simply being sent for recycling at the end of that lease.

Someone must have a drone lolI heavily doubt it as the Newport site is quite secure
Get one of the auditors of you tube to do it. Ie one of the auditors who do the industrial audits and send up the drone.Someone must have a drone lol
Also whilst I think on. The said auditor has done one on Leeds Stourton Freightliner terminal. Via the drone. Good to see inside that one also.Someone must have a drone lol

There's an enthusiast involved in shipping that has posted a few photos from passing ships on Facebook. 317709 was one of the units featured recently. I can't remember which group they are posted on, possibly Railways in South Wales.I heavily doubt it as the Newport site is quite secure
It would be something if the unit was intact at the time!
