When double checking to buy my tickets from Forest Hill to Brighton using their online promotional offer on Monday, the promotion offer states that I have to pick up from a Southern TOD. So for me, it's not that much of an issue as East Dulwich, North Dulwich and Peckham Rye are a 10/15 min bus ride away.

Yet, they'll sell a 12% off ticket from here and passengers have to travel further away to pick up the tickets. This may be an issue for Southern passengers from Rugby, Milton Keynes Central etc who decide to do a day trip using the promotion if they have to travel to London to pick up their tickets in the first place!

I've collected these from Milton Keynes Central, Cosham and Portsmouth & Southsea. All were issued fine.

I was collecting these well in advance, so had a backup plan (Rainy Day Guarantee) just in case I couldn't get them.

As far as I know the only tickets that are restricted to Southern Only TVMs are Daysave tickets and this is because some other TOCs machines (believe it includes SWT and SET) are not set up to issue day rover tickets.

I've collected from Southampton Central before, both the TVM and new pick up only machines.

Until the beginning of this year we didn't have any TVMs on Marshlink. Ive picked up discounted tickets at Hastings, Ashford International (SET) and Portsmouth Harbour (SWT) before.

I've just booked a Forest Hill to Brighton off-peak day return with 12% web discount and did not find that message

https://tickets.southernrailway.com/sn/en/purchase/DeliveryDetails

I can definitely confirm (as a Southern employee) that the tickets can be collected from any TOD enabled ticket vending machine

The only exception (as stated earlier) is for Daysave tickets which cannot be issued by all types of machine and are not on the list of TOD-able tickets

Thanks, seeing the consensus is that it appears to be an error with the mixing deck, I'll book the tickets and collect from Forest Hill as normal.
