Southern Job Application Process

Hello all.

Long time no post. Hope your all well.

I'm back just to browse really, but wondered if anyone knew how the application process for a job at Southern works?

I applied for a ticket office position at Victoria. They passed me through to the assessment stage, which I then passed two weeks ago. Altogether, this process has taken a couple of months so far. I wouldn't really care how long it takes, but I've left my previous job, to go to a new one in a months time, but they want to know how long I intend to stay before they give me the position.

Obviously, I'd rather be at Southern, but if this process is going to take a long time, then I need to think about doing something else for the time being.

Any information or experience anyone has would be great!

From what I've read elsewhere some TOCs can be quite slow/quiet when it comes to the recruitment process. The advice I've always seen given to people is to chase them up. At the very least this shows commitment.

As I've noticed, and sadly its all left to a third party to deal with! :roll:

I'll give them a ring in a week or two, don't want to seem too desperate!
