Southern WCML up the spout! 21/05/21

Presumably signalling cables have to run up to signals, which are up on poles relatively close to OHLE.
Especially where the signals are on gantries that go over the overheads with the signals hung between them. Not sure if this is the arrangement around Ledburn but is certainly common on the WCML

It is the case, and AIUI that is what happened. However the cable shouldn’t have come free, obviously.
