Presumably you were booked to travel on the days disrupted, and the email has only gone out to those that did.

    I would presume that too.

Not necessarily. I received the same email (or at least one of my many email addresses did!) and I wasn't booked to travel on any of the disrupted days.

Not sure exactly what I did to qualify for this offer but Transpennine Express have sent me a £25 off advance tickets voucher. Book by 11th September to travel by 18th October, can be used with railcard. Very nice and may be worth a look out for.

I got that as well. Seemingly no minimum purchase but it's single use, so best off waiting to use when you've got at least £25 worth of tickets to buy.

Bit of a shame I haven't received it - I was booking daily with them and throwing £100s at them every month for travel exclusively on their services.

Are you opted in to their marketing? I'm not and regret it now!

I've just received the same email, which has come in very handy for a trip I'm doing on Sunday

It seems to be fairly comprehensively blocked by the days it's not available under 'validity'.

Ah god yes, I've (yet again) misread that as the period of availability. Thanks.

Rolling in them now! Virgin trains have sent a code for 20% off their advance tickets. Sadly can't be used as well as a railcard but does apply to 2 people if both are traveling together, and does apply to both an inbound and outbound advance if booked at the same time.

Topcashback are offering 20% cash back with Loco2 purchases up until midnight. Probably the best cashback you'll ever get with a train ticket!

Does anyone want to give me their Virgin Red invite code so we both get some extra points? I would like to sign up. If so reply to this message rather than PM me with your code and other members might decide to sign up with it too!

Can the code be posted on here? I’ve not had an email about it . Was looking to travel first class next month from Edinburgh to Crewe and back. Thanks.

Sorry, the codes seem to be personalised (string of random characters) and are said to be single use. Came in around 1640 on 7th August, subject line "Here's 20% off - let's get the band back together".

The Trans Pennine Express website states that you can accrue 2 nectar points for every £1 spent on train tickets on its website ; do these have to be 'TPE Only' tickets or can they be for tickets for any journey on any other TOC ?

Seems Trainpal are doing another new user offer, this time its £5 off a fare of £20 or over. The offer started on the 8th and seems to finish on the 14th.

Is there a link for this? I've registered on their desktop site but can't find any reference to this discount.

I did it via the app, so not really unfortunately. Here is a screenshot showing it though:

Was thinking that. Saw it advertised via Google on an indipendant website. It must have cost quite a few 10p's to make and publish the advert :D
Still, had a look on the Northern site, and outside of peak hours, there does seem to be quite a bit of availability on journeys between Manchester and Leeds :)

Brilliant thanks! Just booked my mum and her three friends days out in Carlisle and Morecambe for a total of £1.60. They were hoping for another £10 Northern offer so this has saved them £19.60 each :D

I think you can buy a Standard Class ticket and bid online for a free upgrade to 1st Class. Don’t know how it works though.
