There was a proposed timetable in the tender specifications for the 64 to serve Burnside, and the 64A to serve Letham. Not sure which timetable was awarded.

One of the Enviro 400 double decks just gone up in smoke on Lapwing Drive, Dunfermline. Would have been the 2210 3A from the bus station. Awful lot of fires recently!

It seems the two piece of information come out at the same time, so in this case its someone understandable.

But if the two are not connected, then the Dunfermline depot will be under the spot light from Vosa pretty fast. One bus fire, that life, Two bus fire within weeks.... that raise eyebrows.

The one that caught fire was the 2210 from the bus station. Twitter reported delays due to vandalism on the 2310. Certainly looks more like an engine fire. One of this batch was very smoky on the 2a during the week.

Heard the new X55 buses advertised on the radio today so they must be due soon.

The Courier is reporting vandalism on Lawpig Driver...

https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/news/local/fife/644509/dunfermline-bus-blaze-under-investigation/

A fire which tore through a bus in Dunfermline may have been started by young vandals.

Passengers were evacuated from the double decker when the blaze erupted late on Friday evening.

By the time firefighters arrived the vehicle was well alight, with its rear end burnt out.

Stagecoach East Scotland is investigating the cause but said on social media on Friday that it was down to vandalism by children.

Police shut off part of Lapwing Drive, in the town’s Masterton area, while firefighters tackled the flames.

Nearby residents reported hearing a bang and seeing blue lights descend.

The driver of the bus raised the alarm at around 10.30pm and emergency services rushed to the scene.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “The double decker was well alight when we arrived.

“Two appliances from Dunfermline attended and all persons had been evacuated prior to our arrival.”

A spill of 60 litres of diesel was reported to environment agency, Sepa.

A Stagecoach East Scotland spokesperson said: “There was an incident on Lapwing Drive in Dunfermline around 10.30pm on Friday involving a bus operating the 3A service.

“All passengers were evacuated safely from the vehicle.

“The bus driver contacted the emergency services and the fire service attended the scene.

“Safety is our absolute priority and we are carrying out an investigation into the cause of the incident.”

Dunfermline press initially reported vandals but it has since updated and no mention of vandals.

A DUNFERMLINE bus blaze is under investigation after a vehicle caught fire last week.

The Stagecoach service was evacuated at Lapwing Drive on Friday evening as flames ripped through the double-decker.

The driver raised the alarm at around 10.30pm as two fire engines were called out to the scene.

A spokesperson for Stagecoach East Scotland said: "There was an incident on Lapwing Drive in Dunfermline around 10.30pm on Friday involving a bus operating the 3A service.

"All passengers were evacuated safely from the vehicle....

Volvo coaches 53249/51/86 have been sold to local rivals Moffat and Williamson. These join the four Tridents sold to M&W by East Scotland.

However, on Twitter, SES told me they'd been transferred to M&W. The increasing number of ex Stagecoach group vehciles in the fleet, and the standard adoption of Stagecoach working practices at M&W has led to some local speculation that Stagecoach may have some involvement in the running of Moffat and Williamson.

I should add, this is based upon what I have heard, and cannot find any concrete evidence.

Tomorrow is D-Day, when the revised network comes into operation: 10 buses are coming off the road across the network. Stagecoach has actually order 14 ( 4 more ) new low floor coaches. This is to allow X55 and the X51 to be fully converted. It seems two will be going to perth to for service X56, it will be interesting to see if another 2 are order sometime during the year to fully convert the X56 aswell.

There will be big fleet reshuffle, especial with the coaches. Further changes planned for August, it will be interesting to see what else might appear.

Off the mark Council tenders took place:

* Stagecoach will continue to operate the 108( very early morning route around Kirkcaldy)
* Bay Travel has pick up a tender to operate two early morning journeys on the 14, Lets see how that gets on.

OFF
* 2 buses - No19
* 4 buses - NoX8
* 1 bus - No8 in Perth
* 2 bus - No11/12 Kirkcaldy
* 1 bus - 77B
* 1 bus - 44s
* 5 bus - X53 ( 4 will be used to on the X54 to Ninewells and the other will allow the 39A to go to Kingoodie.
13 buses:

New/ON
* 2 buses - X51
* 1 bus for the new 31
* 1 bus for X4

9 buses off the road. Service 32 is clamped on to the 14( K4) also there will only need 3 extra coaches to cover the extend X51/X54, There have retimed the X26 and it can now do Glenrothes - Dundee and back within the timetable. 56 is an odd on but it would seem it switching depots and a interworked with School fleet.

In a little more depth:

Arbroath: 6 buses off the 39, 1 bus off 77B (off-peak), 1 bus off 75, 2 buses off X8 (10 off), 1 bus off 44, but this will continue to do the 130/A11, until 25 May.
2 buses on 30, 4 buses on 39, 3 buses on 39A (9 on). The difference = minus 1
Perth: 2 buses off the X8, 3 buses off the 16, 1 bus off the 8 (6 off). 1 bus on the 39, 1 bus on the 75 (2 on). The difference = minus 4

I'm sure there are probably more!

Are the 3 buses that are coming off the 16, going on the 39 seeing as that's replacing the 16 between Dundee and Perth?

Yes, I think Ross4122 a bit confused about the 3 buses off the 16

New services:
Service 30 has 2 buses:
Service 39 has 5 buses:
Service 39A has 3 buses:
* 10 buses:

Old network:
1 - The bit from the old X53 Kingoodie
3 - No16
6- old 39
* 10 buses.

Difficult to tell. I know some of Perth's Scania E400s are going to Aberhill. The 5 (4 AH, 1 PH) 39s should be Double Decker, 3 (all AH) 39As should be single decker, if that helps at all. @GaryMcEwan

No, not confused at all with the 3 buses off the 16 - I was only going by terms of Perth and Arbroath depots, hence why I never mentioned the X53. However, unless I've missed something, surely the 1 bus off the X53 allows for the X54 extension to Ninewells?
