MOTORISTS have been trapped in traffic chaos after a bus fire broke out in the heart of the Lake District.
Eye witnesses described seeing large flames coming from the back of a single-deck bus. The vehicle was parked outside of the Tourist Information Centre, in Windermere, at the time of the incident which occurred around noon today (Friday).
Two fire engines rushed to extinguish the blaze. Office manager of the Lakes Hospitality Association, Gillian Bromley, stopped traffic from entering Victoria Street.
20711 on the 551 to Arnside with a less than impressed female driver. No idea why, 711 sounded in fine form!
Can't keep two Solo's on Moorclose, but we can coaches!
52635 is on 50 AND 52628 on 51 at one point this morning!
As i passed thru workington after dropping 14248 off on my way to Carlisle depot noticed them both out. Poor allocating I think 2 low floor darts on short X5s and 2 coaches on town something not right there.
Probs the same female driver I had on the 555 earlier this year and didn't like how much change I used for my ticket.. :-x
It would be really nice if at least 1 of the K7**DAOs was kept and preserved when they are taken out of service at Kendal, What would be even nicer is if they were converted back into normal livery as they are a lot better than most of the newer stuff, but we all know that'll never happen
