Yes, 34685.

Not 100% on 16645, but it was definitely a VPN Oly/RL with a 5 at the end of the registration and fleet number!

My eyes must have deceived me then...not really surprised given how heavy the rain was!

Definitely wasn't 16642 as that was at the front of the lineup.

Seen both 34685 & 33036 in Arnside this week.

The Tridents have been making regular appearance on the 555 this last week.

There is booked turns on the 555 for a Trident but off the top of my head not sure how many.

I suppose as soon as one of the Scania's is VOR and then you have one for MOT you potentially have 3 Tridents back on.

I know this is a random question but I have a few photos that just for a bit of fun I would like to try and enter for next years lakes rider magazine(the timetable one) anyone know who or where I could contact? or if there's even any chance it would work.

Lillyhall's latest addition, Solo 47146 PX54 EPF, is out on Workington towns today in new livery. Unfortunately it has a very flashy LED blind and none of my attempts today managed to get it showing.

Random, and not sure when they started doing this, only noticed myself today (despite them being on 47020 and 47146 when I got photos yesterday), but legals on some Lillyhall buses have had "Stagecoach North West Ltd T/A" added above them, so they now show:

Stagecoach North West Ltd T/A
Cumberland Motor Services
16-20 Lowther Street
Carlisle CA3 8DA

I'm assuming buses are being updated as they have their scheduled service.

Stagecoach Merseyside already does this. Legals read "Glenvale transport t/a Stagecoach in Merseyside", and stagecoach in the highlands also, legas reading "Highland Country Omnibuses t/a Stagecoach in the Highlands"

ME started doing it about a month ago, when a bus has gone in for service, even added onto the buses that come back from repaint.

Acquisition of bus operations in North Manchester

Stagecoach Group plc ("Stagecoach") is pleased to announce that Greater Manchester Buses South Ltd, a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of Stagecoach, has agreed to acquire the bus business and assets of private operator Bluebird for a consideration of £2.0 million.

The business being acquired, which was founded in 1988, operates commercial and supported bus services in North Manchester, employing approximately 80 people.

In the 12 months to 31 January 2012, the business had revenues of £4.0 million, EBITDA of around £480,000 and an operating profit of around £330,000.

The purchase includes the leased depot site at Greengate in Middleton, as well as approximately 40 vehicles.

The acquisition will allow Stagecoach to expand its successful bus operations in the Greater Manchester region, where it already operates around 630 buses and employs 1,850 staff.

The Bluebird operations will become part of Stagecoach Manchester, which carries nearly 100 million passengers a year and is led by Managing Director Chris Bowles.

104 branded 24124 on the 1st 554 today.

X4/X5 branded 5337 on the 554 yesterday but due to it not having it in the blind it displayed Not In Service from Keswick to Carlisle until a board was sorted.

47722 was on the 79 yesterday morning and then the 68 in the afternoon.

What are the operational Olympians at LL now? Havent seen P484HBA or R267NBV for a week or two.

Well 16667 has gone to Kendal. 16184 should be still out, being a short it might just be in depot a bit now with Tridents arriving.
16649, 16657, 16666 still plodding around. I think 16734 is to be next one out, that's if it hasn't gone already

http://www.newsandstar.co.uk/news/m...-bus-catches-fire-1.1012093?referrerPath=news

Fire severely damaged a Stagecoach bus on the A7 between Blackford and Harker, near Carlisle.
A passenger on the 7.10pm Dumfries-Carlisle service noticed smoke coming from the rear of the vehicle and alerted the driver who stopped and evacuated the bus.
Nobody was injured but the fire took hold.
Firefighters say the back of bus was destroyed. Two fire appliances from Carlisle attended the blaze, which closed the road.
Melted plastic had to be cleared from the carriageway. The A7 re-opened just after 10pm.
Stagecoach sent another vehicle to rescue the stranded passengers.
A spokesman said: “There was an incident on one of our buses operating on Service 79 yesterday evening. An investigation has started to determine the cause of this incident.
"Our driver promptly evacuated the vehicle, there were no injuries sustained by any party. We would like to reassure our customers that such incidents are extremely rare and that our investigation into the cause will be thorough and that all such matters are reported.”

Yes, 22142 is a write off.

22121 wasn't destroyed, didn't even need a new engine or gearbox.

22142 is a complete mess and one of the worse I have seen after fire damage.

22160 is nearing a return to service at Carlisle while 22137 has been repainted now and like 22160 is just awaiting it's new engine to be fitted.

22149 should make it's return to service tommorow.

47062 and 47721 in the paintshop along with the last Morecambe Versa.

18145 is now completed and should be on it's way back to Chorley.

16329/16393/16294 all now at Carlisle.

22142 I'm told.

Walkergate's 33127 on 685 this morning due to 52626 breakdown in Newcastle. A lot of sand down at the bay where it comes in - if related.

33127 arrived back into Newcastle 20 minutes late, had 685 Hexham board up with NIS blind. 52626 back on 14:45 slot, heading out 25 mins late.

Sand was nothing to do with 52626.

It expired at Eldon Square and the only thing that was left to give us was 33127 which operated into Carlisle an hour late. A phone call was made to confirm 52626 would be available to go back out so 33127 was sent straight back after I put a window board in it to save it going back NIS.

50mph so not too bad speed wise, certainly better than 34700 which has been on often enough.

47721 getting a normal paint or something special?
