must have a go on this one!

The new gold 300s, are these Scanias again? I doubt the full ADL Version would cope. Guessing the existing 4 will be kept to see off the remaining Olies and perhaps the S Reg Tridents? 554 would do well if Scania opperated.↲

Scania's moving to Morecambe for the 42 Lancaster to Blackpool.

15921 headed to Carlisle for display at the bus station. Had to call and get a pen.
A rather poor phone pic is on facebook, I knew I should have taken the camera with me today.

One of the two worst accident partners you can think of.... :(
A684 between Kendal and Sedbergh shut after collision between sports car and bus

1:52pm Tuesday 6th August 2013

THE main road from Kendal to Sedbergh has been shut following a collision between a sports car and a bus.

Police received a call from the ambulance service at 12.33pm of reports of a two vehicle road collision on the A684.

The vehicles involved were a Caterham Seven sports car and a bus, said police.

Paramedics are at the scene, as well as the Fire Service and the Highways Agency.

Police are asking motorists to avoid the area and find alternative routes.

15683 Is on loan at Barrow depot as a extra bus for the X6 due to the long delays being caused by road works at Greenodd. Was spotted in Kendal today working the 1300 to Barrow still with full 300 branding.

A 61 reg E300 was in Carlisle bus station yesterday (Monday) mid afternnon.

A 61 reg E300 was in Brampton mid morning returning to Carlisle with a 685 Newcastle -> Carlisle

So is Stagecoach replacing the S reg coaches on the 685 given that Arriva have now replaced all their V reg coaches on this route with 07 Scania Omnicities and 11 reg (or similar) VDLs?

That is correct, 27766 and 27767 are now Carlisle vehicles for the 685.

27766/7 were previously based at Lillyhall; they've been freed up there by the entry of the new Gold E400s into service.

Two School Runners parked up at LL. Also 16651 in the lanes too.

16651 & 16652 have moved from CY to LL, the only remaining Olympians at CY now are 16653 & 16654 which will see service on School Contracts until Tridents become available.

18156 is currently still being repainted into Ribble Livery and will be some time before its seen out in service as it requires other work to get it up to scratch, our theory was that if we were going to do it then it would be re-trimmed and new LED blinds fitted as well as new lights etc so it looks great.

Can't imagine TfGM will be too happy that 16653/4 are still being used - they're outside the 15 year age limit now, aren't they?

No, it depends on what contract and what service, there is a clause in Vehicle age, its from when the contract actually starts, thats why you see older vehicles on certain contracts on certain schools it all depends when the service was registered and how long the contract is for.

Ah right, makes sense I guess. Still, can't imagine the Olympians have more than a year left, if that.

Yeah they will be gone soon enough, as soon as Tridents become avail, were expecting an announcement soon that will see the Scania fleet from CY move to PR and CY get a new WiFi fleet but thats yet TBC.
