Are these expected to stay within West or move elsewhere in the group?
37117 running in Plymouth today with branding for route 2A above the side windows
Possibly a total loss on one of the old branded hop 2 after a fire! http://www.devonlive.com/news/devon-news/passengers-double-decker-bus-driver-417709
Was in Plymouth today (04th September) and noticed several 371xx Enviro200s running around with branding for Services 2 & 2A on them. Saw one of the 2B workings which was an Optare Solo.
From reports elsewhere, 19325 was the vehicle
That sounds about right, scuttlebut is that there was an engine component failure, conrod or such. All I can say is it's good it happened where it was, only a few mins away from the depo, if it was parked up then I imagine there may have been more losses and damage
The X4 is not going Gold, at least not at the moment. Possibly because not all buses travel the entire route, Hereford-Cardiff. It may end up with its own livery.
The next one that seems to be planned to go Gold in south Wales seems to be the 120 Blaencwm-Caerphilly, and the 130 Blaenrhondda-Pontypridd. Not sure on the date, but I think it has been postponed for a short time.
There is gold liveried buses on the 122 Tonypandy-Cardiff. This route has not yet been put forward for Gold service, but there is talk about making it a fifteen minute service. This seems a bit daft, has some of these buses run less than half full.
I would not be surprised, over the next five years or so, that all of Stagecoach's south Wales trunk routes go gold.
Slight correction. The X3 and X4 were revised earlier this year. Situation now is:
- X3 Hereford - Abergavenny - Pontypool - Cwmbran - Cardiff
- X4 Abergavenny - Brynmawr - Ebbw Vale - Merthyr Tydfil - Pontypridd - Cardiff
Can't recall the exact date of revision but I think it was in July.
I noticed a enviro 200 on the Bristol 77 today which had Megabus advertising all over it. To me it seemed like it could easily be confused for a actual Megabus
Thought it might be of interest on this thread that today's Daily Telegraph contained an obituary to Harry Blundred who died 23rd August.
Just seen a Torquay hop 12 branded Enviro400 in Exeter depot, one of the old ones. I wonder what it will be doing in Exeter?
This is probably there for the branding to be removed in preparation for the new vehicles. 15789,92,95,96 have already been done.
Where are they going? Exeter or staying with Torquay?
I hear 5 to Exeter with most of the rest to Barnstaple.......
Could be good!
That's also what I have heard, although I think a small number are due to stay in Torquay for general use.
That was 37008.
I saw 36175 on the 77 today which my records show as being allocated to Gloucester. Possibly transferred to North Bristol but more likely covering for a North Bristol E200 under maintenance.
Nothing special observed in the Yate are of late. Just the regular North Bristol Solos and E200s on the 84, 85, 86 and 622 services, and the Stroud Solos on the 620 service.
