When the Stansted Express was first launched (around 1991 I believe) with the new class 322s, it was originally a half hourly service. Did these trains use existing paths or new ones with other services modified? Also, did they stop at any intermediate stations other than Tottenham Hale?
I believe it some point there was also a stopping service to the airport, I certainly remember seeing 315s operating to the airport. Was this an extension of an existing stopping service or an additional path?

There was a recast of the timetable with Stansted services running xx00 and xx30 from each end. They have always stopped at Tottenham Hale. Initially, only one train each hour stopped at Bishops Stortford on weekday off-peak hours. The 1992 timetable shows some peak time services calling at Sawbridgeworth instead of Bishops Stortford.

315s did run to Stansted for a while, not an extension as such. Over the years, Hertford East services have switched between running via Tottenham Hale and Seven Sisters. Clearly, they are fixed via Tottenham Hale with the London Overground services now split off.

Until around 2009 or so there was a Stratford-Stansted hourly stopping service. In effect, it was an extension of one of the present Stratford-Bishop's Stortford services per hour.

There is now no capacity for this due to the Norwich-Stansted service now running through the tunnel instead.

At one time two of the three Stratford to Stansted diagrams were class 315s. They did still appear once all three were booked for class 317s. The service was cut back to Bishop's Stortford but increased to half hourly south of there. I can't recall when this happened. The Cambridge to Stansted EMU service started around 2015 I think.
