As part of an advertising promotion by internet giant Amazon, on 15th and 16th January 2020 Piccadilly Circus London Underground tube station was renamed Picardilly Circus.

The promotion was for a new Star Trek series which it will be possible to watch on the Amazon Prime streaming television service.

The new series is called Star Trek:Picard - the name is in honour of Jean-Luc Picard who is the central character.

This railway station is in a well known part of London which will be recognised by almost everyone who has visited London and as I am assuming that some people from outside of London will watch it I added a couple of street scenes (complete with iconic red double-deck buses) to help people who do not know London to gain a sense of the location of this station.

This film poses a question: who wants to have their atoms scrambled by a transporter in the hope that they are correctly reassembled afterwards when you can travel on a London Underground Tube Train?
