Upper Tyndrum is also a Scottish station with an extra name as well as the settlement that indicates it is at a higher altitude than the other station in the settlement.

British Steel Redcar is also a station named after a company. Older readers will remember Singer sewing machines.

Shrewsbury is the other destination where, earlier this week, the ORR have approved Virgin services to Euston from December.

Brighouse was another station, which, in the 1960s, had a longer name.

[Hope was Hope for Castleton & Bradwell; Brighouse was Brighouse for Rastrick].
