    Elmswell (noted above but not used as the chosen station to make the last association with) was also opened by the Ipswich and Bury Railway in 1846.

    Both Elmswell and Thurston are on the Ipswich to Ely Line; a recently opened station on that line is Cambridge North.

    Low Moor was also opened in 2017.

    It was built on a different location to the original Low Moor station.

    Low Moor is served by Grand Central trains between London King's Cross and Bradford Interchange.

    Barnsley Interchange was also formerly suffixed 'Exchange' (though in Barnsley's case with a suffix-free spell in between).

    In May 1999, Midland Mainline commenced a daily weekday service to London St Pancras. This was withdrawn in 2008 by East Midlands Trains.

    London Victoria is also managed by Network Rail.

    London Paddington also has a non stop rail service to one of London's airports.

    Bristol Temple Meads is also a Grade 1 listed 13-platform station with the highest DfT category rating of "A"

    Bath Spa also has direct trains to the three mainland capitals - London, Edinburgh and Cardiff.

    Carrbridge is another 2 platform station served by 3 TOCs.

    The station building at Carrbridge is thought to be by the architect William Roberts, dating from 1898. Another station where he worked is Brora, where the former station buildings, now unused, were built to his design.

    Forsinard is another passing loop on the Far North Line.

    Forsinard had only 2,210 entries & exits in 2017/18 according to ORR statistics.
    The next least used station, at 2,162 in the same period, was Chathill.

    Whereas Chathill is the terminus of a minimal Northern service from a major city, Newcastle, Goole is the terminus of a minimal Northern service from another major city, Leeds.

    Goole is served by all trains on it's line, it being a principal station on the line between Doncaster and Hull. Another principal station on the same line is Brough.

    Broomfleet was also opened by the Hull and Selby Railway in 1840.

    Saltmarshe is another station which has infrequent services 6 days a week, and no service on a Sunday.

    Cuddington is also a station that opened in 1869 which currently has the lowest DfT category rating of F2.
