Nuneaton station was rebuilt and enlarged in 1915 with its current buildings, which were designed by Reginald Wynn Owen. He was also responsible for the
North London Railway War Memorial at Broad Street station; this is now at Hoxton station since the closure of Broad Street.

The Oyster Card Pay-as-you-Go can be used at Elephant & Castle station with all services up to Elstree & Borehamwood station.

Reginald Redpath was Station Master at Peterborough between 1950 and 1956, before moving on to Bolton.

Gorebridge station reopened on 6th September 2015 on the new Borders Railway, a new project reopening part of the old Waverley Route between Edinburgh and Tweedbank. Another station opened as part of the same project was Stow.

The West Highland Line, including Ardlui, is controlled by a Radio Electronic Tokenless Block (RETB) system, which is run from a Signalling Centre at Banavie station.

New Malden is the station immediately before the Kingston Loop Line leaves the South Western Main Line. Where the Kingston Loop Line joins the Waterloo to Reading Line, the first station is Twickenham.
