Barking station booking hall was completely rebuilt between 1959 and 1961 to designs by the Eastern Region Chief Architect H H Powell; he was also responsible for overseeing the redevelopment of Harlow Town station at the same time.

Hexham has retained it's distinctive elevated signal box, which was built in 1896, and is also Grade II listed. It is one of only two such structures left on the line, the other being at Wylam.

That's a rather quick return to Hexham, which was posted a few postings ago.
Repeating any of the previous three station names is not prohibited in the rules for this particular quiz (although that requirement is stipulated for Settlement Associations).
However it was an oversight on my part so, in the interest of good form, I've edited to make the same association with Haltwhistle.

Indeed the rules are what you say they are, but for those of "the regulars" who contribute to both quizzes, it can be confusing at times to remember which "three station" embargo applies to the quiz they are on.

Moses Gate was also opened in 1838.

Aldermaston station is on the 'Berks and Hants Line', a term that has been used intermittently by officials and passengers for the whole route from Reading to Taunton even though it does not enter Hampshire. It does, however, enter Wiltshire, and the first station after the line crosses the border is at Bedwyn.

John Brewer was Station Master at Truro between 1886 and 1897, having formerly been Station Master at St Austell.

Newton-le-Willows is the last station prior to the boundary between Merseyrail and Transport for Greater Manchester. Hough Green is also just before a similar boundary, but this time between Merseyrail and Northern Rail.

Widnes railway station is traditionally the station where Paul Simon composed the song "Homeward Bound" but it is most likely that it was Ditton station, part of the Widnes Loop Line and the train to London.

My apologies …. Widnes is on the line between Manchester Piccadilly and Liverpool Lime Street, as is Edge Hill.

OBSERVATION

When an incorrect posting is made and correctly struck-through, then other quiz contributors make postings following on after it, a newly made posting should be made after such following postings that have appeared in print, rather than to go back to edit the originally made posting with new information, as contributors will only see last made postings rather than backtracking.

In August 2002, torrential rain flooded the low-level stations from Dalmarnock through to Exhibition Centre via Glasgow Central for a number of weeks.
