I actually laughed out loud :|

Following on from Carstairs;

Salford Crescent, both have lines passing around its island platform, but no actual platform for trains to stop

Norton Bridge... island platform, ½ the tracks bypass it.

The fact that nothing can stop there is irrelevant, but could lead to the next entry!

It takes all sorts. Probably shouldn't have posted it really.

Polesworth, another station on the WCML with a missing footbridge!

Wilnecote, the only other station in the Royal Mail post town Tamworth that isn't called Tamworth.

Hmm, I found it tickling too, then again I suppose its what type of humour you are into... There are several jokes about 9/11 and Lockerbie floating around, but I repeat them on here I'd be banned.

From Polesworth, Arlesey, both stations on a four-track Mainline that only have platforms on the outer two.

Hinckley - the TOC which manages the station doesn't have any trains calling there.

Milton Keynes Central - another station with a suffix when there it is the only station in the town!
Well technically you could say Bletchley, Wolverton, Fenny Stratford and Bow Brickhill are in Milton Keynes too and maybe Woburn Sands, but I get what you're saying, it's the only station called Milton Keynes!

Smethwick Galton Bridge, another station with three words.

So does London Euston count now then? Also said to have been killed by the 60s station refurb programme.

London Victoria - both have 18 platforms.

*ignore that - that was meant to be for Euston*
