If you've ever watched Have I Got News For You this will probably be fairly familiar to you, as I got the idea from the 'Odd One Out' round.

Four stations are named - 3 have something in common but one is the odd one out. The first person to correctly work out what the pattern is takes the floor.

There may be more than one correct answer! In fact, 9 times of out 10 there probably will be.

So, to start we have:

Letchworth, Ashwell & Morden, Foxton, Plymouth

Which is the odd one out?

Cardiff - not served by ICEC, or the only one not in England, only one not electrified (I could go on...) PS - You do realise there are 3 Cardiff stations?

Lowestoft, London Waterloo, Coleshill Parkway, Manchester Piccadilly

Lowestoft - only one that does not have a vowel in it's CRS code. LWT, WAT, CEH, MAN.

Salhouse, Hoveton and Wroxham, North Walsham or Sheringham?

Well, it's a good job they're all in Wales then! :p

Henceforth, I think the poster should specify what it is they want the other posters to guess. For example, do they want the odd one out to be based on platform numbers, TOC service, railway line etc. Otherwise, we can fill up pages and pages simply going 'X is the odd one out because it isn't in England. Y is the odd one out because it isn't in Wales.'

Sheringham, is the only terminus and the only single platform.

Lowestoft, London Waterloo, Coleshill Parkway, Manchester piccadily

Something to do with TOC's

Which would be what I'm looking for.

Lowestoft, London Waterloo, Coleshill Parkway, Manchester piccadily

I've responded to this tasking. Please think of a new combination of stations.

On another note, this quiz did receive Quizmaster approval before posting.

During our discussions, as Quizmasters, we agreed that any correct reasoning should be accepted - otherwise we could be here all day trying to get the right one, there may be hundreds. And indeed this is stated in the original post.

We resume from:
Norwich, Bristol Temple Meads, London Liverpool Street or Cambridge. - This is something to do with the bus service the station receives.

I can't verify for Bristol but I'll give it to you. The link I had in mind was all bar Cambridge had bus services from First Group. Norwich, Bristol and Liverpool Street.

Exeter, York and Dawlish have covered platforms, and/or overall roofs.
Lowestoft hasn't - so you're open to whatever the weather throws at you.
