Think these look pretty good and good to see the double arrow being used on the sign as intended. I can understand the complaint there's a bit too much white space but I guess the posts are existing and a sign has to be made to fit, it looks quite well proportioned to me.

The T logo is also fine and similar to what has been done in Manchester for stations there. Having a local transport operator logo which sits to the right of the name where applicable seems a good solution to me.

I think they look far smarter than the outdated, worn looking Serco-Abellio Northern Rail signage elsewhere on the network. I think they're fine for a consistent national standard if only it'd be rolled out properly.

I think it looks fantastic. Very smart.

These "horrors" (and I agree with the word choice) have been done in Helvetica and look just so cruddy. And why? If they were only in RA2 instead, they'd be pretty much bang-on standards.

RA2 starting to crop up at Victoria now
Interesting to see that they are still using the Railtrack station logo.

I think this is good. One (incredibly rare) bit of genuine praise for Railtrack was there refurbs of the major terminis and these logos, so I'm glad they are being kept.

Is there a modern, up to date list/gallery of the ones currently in use? I noticed in a social media post that Guildford has recieved one and NR only took over responsibility for that station in 2018, a long time after the icons were first used.

This is a really bad example.
It implies that one can walk to both London Waterloo and Gatwick Airport by going in that direction! It should say 'Trains for/to/towards London Waterloo and Gatwick airport'.
I thought the same :D

Guildford I assume?
White on blue definitely looks a million times better than that wirey black lost on an acre of empty white background, which is how most of the new signs look.

I don't often post but...why have Network Rail got hold of Guildford?! I'd have thought there'd be a lot of stations that'd be more worthy of NR status than Guildford...

Reading has got it too
Could that sign stand out any less?! Really shows what a poor decision this was, and how the ‘research’ to back it was nonsense.

Is it to do with the redevelopment?

Sadly I don't have any photos, but the other day I noticed RA2 on some signs at Grimsby Town. Notably not the "Grimsby Town" signs, which still had TPE font (sorry I don't know the particulars), only the direction signage had been changed to RA2.

It's very plain and dull. even 'dull' Germanic countries have better branding. The font is fine, but white signage with no stripe seems very uninspired. Even a horizontal stripe top or bottom, or an SWT/EMT style swish would be great. And why not have different colours for different regions?

And another. (Not a great photo, I was on platform 6)
This looks very cheap and naff. Unnecessarily large and tacky to me.
