I believe Bere Alston and Ferrers have lots of early BR signage (railway-era?).
Bere Ferrers has replica totems. Other items there are associated with the small private railway. Bere Alston has a green ground frame plate which was installed in the 1990s. Along with others in the old Railtrack western zone these ground frame signs were in the appropriate former BR regional colours.
What is credited as being the original concrete running in board was re-erected at Calstock a few years ago. Umberleigh also has one and a Newton St Cyres one is on private land adjacent to the station.

Not on a station, however this BR era sign still survives at the end of the now disused Chalmerston branch in Ayrshire

Image shows a sign reading “No British Rail locomotives to pass beyond this point”

Not sure if it's been mentioned already but Barking still has some NSE signage (can't remember which platform):

Did regional/intercity have its own signage widely used or was it just NSE
Their styles were used widely enough. Generally Intercity were pretty good at putting their branding on stations, although there might have been nooks and crannies around the place that they missed (the back of the bin yard etc). Regional Railways were more hit and miss because they had more stations to do and some of the lesser-used ones were not a priority to spend money on.

Are there many photos of these signs, as I’ve tried looking for them but can’t find any photos online…

Rhosneigr still has its BR sign at the Chester bound entrance. The platform signs are all Regional Railways ones with the banner at the bottom stickered over.

They tended not to be photographed widely as we were all still on film cameras and most people considered it a waste of film! There were a couple of books published in the 1990s looking at signage and infrastructure which you might be able to track down.

Southern Region.
Whilst not strictly present day Crawley used to have Network Southeast Flashes on its sign outside the station until the front of the station was rebuilt. It also used to have a sign warning about joining and alighting from moving trains which I presume dates from the Network Southeast era. I'll attach the picture I got of the latter in January 2022 later on.

Slight cheat but Gobowen has a GWR style sign:

There is an interesting sign opposite the underpass at Pangbourne. It looks to be original GWR and warns that a footpath is private and not for public use.

Regional varied from plain white to blue stripe or blue stripe with the 3 white lines. I don't immediately recall Intercity signage on the WCML just plan RA1 though Intercity West Coast had a burgundy theme to it so perhaps I didn't notice !

The running-in-boards at Plymouth still have the InterCity swallow on them.

Intercity station names had maroon lines top and bottom. Regional Railways had a blue stripe at the bottom with a few white lines at the end. Occasionally some also said Regional Railways on them too.

Yep used to drive under that every working day in the eighties, might even have been late seventies.

The Renaissance hotel was sold to Pentahotels in 2009, so that one could do with being updated as well!

Ah thank you! I still can’t find any photos of either (although I think I’ve see a regional sign in a book lately) but thanks for the description.

Downham Market is almost entirely Network SouthEast signage, and also has red lamp posts.

The one exception I noticed on a recent visit is the signal box name board at one end which is WAGN vintage.

I know it's not a station, and is not British Rail, but I took a picture years ago (so can't find it right now) of a sign in Croydon instructing people not to trespass on the railway. From the Southern Railway.
Pretty sure there's one of these just outside Lewes Station. Might be BR Southern Region if not Southern Railway.

Alexandria still had a Park n' Ride sign with the Strathclyde Transport Orange/Black logo at the top in 2023 (it lost the sign on the northernmost bridge over the ring road in 2018 when the bridge was replaced). The Google Maps car caught it in June and I passed through in October that year and it was still there then; haven't been back since so I don't know if it's lost this last remnant:
