I've just heard a steam train going through Orpington Station (approx 18.30 on 15 September) (too far away to see it unfortunately), but the only one I can see on Realtimetrains is this one: 114U, Margate to Newport (South Wales)

Does anyone know what it is?

Thanks. Is the last stop Chepstow, with the train returning to a Newport, South Wales, base?
The last stop is Newport with the rolling stock then going back to Eastleigh.

The steam locomotive is based at Stewarts Lane depot near Victoria so a diesel operates from Battersea to Newport.

The diesel locomotive worked from Crewe to Wembley on Monday, Wembley to Eastleigh last night, then took the stock to Newport overnight to then take passengers to Battersea Loop. It will then do the reverse tonight.

Hence the description on RTT
Starts as Diesel locomotive, trailing load 715 tonnes, changes en route
Starts planned at 60mph max

That all makes sense, thanks.

Location
Redcar
RTT and others show the kettle coming off at Acton with a trip to Stewarts Lane later on.
