Stoke on Trent to Irvine

Hi

I need to be in Irvine for around 1pm on Saturday, returning 430pm the same day. I've found some advance tickets for £77 return but just wondered if a split with regular tickets can be achieved for a similar price? I'm happy to start my journey in Crewe or Stafford if this helps with the Glasgow train.

I don't have a railcard.

If you use trains via Manchester and make sure they call at Chorley (I think they all do) you can use these splits. If you split at Horwich instead of Manchester, it's a couple of quid cheaper but not all trains stop there.
