Is there a list available anywhere of which units are currently stored at Crewe South Yard ?

They are more visible than previously as there's been an outbreak of tree felling in the area!

Not a list, but as a starter for 10...

The ten which temporarily worked in Scotland are presumably all still there after moving to the South Yard in May-Aug 2019:

509
513
517
519
521
523
525
529
533
537

Every odd numbered 365 (501-541) is stored there, except 511 and 539 which remain in service with Great Northern.

Hope this helps.

On 5live tonight they mentioned Northern will have some electric trains from 'elsewhere' to bolster the services. Possible new lease of life for the 365's??

Surely that would be referring to the Class 323s from WMT, alongside the retention of the existing Class 323s.

The 365s are owned by the DfT so using them on Northern after 1st March makes sense.

Can't see them at Northern. Would create more problems than it would solve.... Clearance. Training. Maintenance. Storage. Press would have a field day 'More London Cast Offs' etc.

If they had been DMUs however...

Lots of trains to choose from at the moment, including the full balance of 323's. But you could also have 317, 321, and also the 350/2. The 350 already have a depot with the required expertise in Manchester, but the 365 could be based at Longsight, who are very familiar with Alstom products. Time will tell.

the turbos class 365s for gwr

No, there is no indication that class 365s have any role with GWR. The possible project to use trailer cars with Turbos is based on using class 465 intermediate vehicles.

Class 365s aren't turbos?

Exactly, to be precise the Class 165 is classed as the Networker and the Class 166 is classed as the Networker Turbo Express.

The Class 365s are classed as the Networker Express.

As originally built and promoted, the 165s are Network Turbos, not Networker Turbos.

In any case, the Class 365s won’t be going to GWR as electrics, nor are they involved in the idea to lengthen hybrid Class 165s.
