Swansea GWR coaches - what was the year

Hello there, hope this is the correct forum. Friend grew up in one of the houses in this picture, and wondered roughly what the year/decade could be? I'm not up on coaching stock so couldn't narrow it down much apart from it being suburban so probably a Swansea to Rhonda train. Any clues would be great thanks!

The semis on the right are typical for between the wars (and look very new), though they were still being built in Yorkshire into the 50s.
I would guess 30s rather than 20s, but can't say more.

I think that's a GWR monogram on the coaches, so that is post 1934 at least. Given how clean the roofs appear to be it's probably pre ww2 too.

Thank you, he orginally assumed it was taken in the 50s, but good observations above and I concur that it is more than likely pre world war II

Finding out when the houses were built might help as those on the right look as though they are nearing completion, although it may just be a trick of the light. It could also be worth finding out if other houses were later built in the area covered by the photo.
