Swansea to Truro

I will probably have to travel from Swansea to Truro, single, either on Tuesday or Wednesday but will not be to confirm this until Monday afternoon. Time of travel on the day is flexible. No railcards.

I have looked for tickets and so far have found: Anytime - £87.10 : Advance - £51.00 : Split at Tiverton Parkway - £63.00.

What are the chances of an advance ticket still being available on Monday afternoon? Is there a better split than Tiverton Parkway? Can all of these tickets be bought from Swansea ticket office?

You could try splitting your advance tickets at Bristol Temple Meads, Exeter & Plymouth.
Swansea - Bristol are vavailable from £19.50
Bristol to Exeter from £12
Exeter - Plymouth from £4.50
Plymouth - Truro from £3.50

so it is possible to save a bit. However to get the cheapest will need breaks of an hour plus at some of the above stations.

I suggest you use one of the web ticketing sites and go through the above splits and see how you can combine them to make the best overall journey for you.

The advance tickets may be higher on Monday Afternoon, than the prices shown today or tommorow. I would suggest this spilt if not using advances :

Swansea to Cardiff Central ANY PERMITTED off peak day single £7.70
Cardiff Central to Bristol Parkway ANY PERMITTED anytime day single £11.10
Bristol Parkway to Taunton ANY PERMITTED anytime day single £11.20
Taunton to Plymouth ANY PERMITTED off peak day single £16.90
Plymouth to Truro ANY PERMITTED off peak day single £9.40

Total cost : £56.30
