Can't say I've spent too long looking at the front of these units but I don't remember noticing the plough before.

The only other thought would be to use a polarising filter to cut down on the windscreen reflections (as in http://motteram.fotopic.net/p22599075.html) - easily fitted to an SLR but not an option as far as I know for more compact cameras.

Swaythling is a good place to go if you are careful as the surrounding area is a dump and full of have ago chavs.
As for the lens filters i'm not sure any are available for my camera but it's a good idea.
Missed a 57 berthed in the bay at Southampton as it pulled out as i was running over the footbridge but when i got there the SWT Thunderbird pulled in. :)
