Earlier today the Swedish parliament elected Magdalena Andersson new prime minister, and less than 8 hours later she resigned after the Greens announced that they would not be part of her government. Finding a stable majority in the parliament has not been easy since the last election and today it resulted in a Social democratic new prime minister, but the party did not manage to get their budget proposal through the parliament. The green party would not accept the right wing budget and will not be part of Andersson's government, so Andersson resigned, Löfven remains prime minister and the speaker now has to propose a new prime minister.
