Check post 1,074Is there much that can be salvaged and reused from a 455 or 456? I recall seeing condemned 4-SUBs and 4-EPBs in the Clapham Junction sidings missing doors and various other bits and pieces, waiting to be hauled to a scrapyard.

Thanks for the pointer. Presumably the scrap merchant reduces the carriages to basic scrap metals, plastics, etc, for recycling or disposal if not recyclable.Check post 1,074
