They must be disposing of a large number of those orange grab handles, which look like solid plastic. Recycled, or landfill, I wonder? Either way it seems excessive just for a colour change...

I thought things like the toilet signs, eg the “direction to” signs along the train on 450s, were common features to all Desiro Uk variants?
But which came first? Did SWT not just copy the Siemens signage over onto their older fleets?
Except on the 458s where most of the signage has never been updated so is subtly different.
So there’d still be no expectation of the current refurbishment to require replacement...
The 350 on WMT have identical such signage which hasn't been replaced even the rest have been updated from London Midland style.
It's certainly in service and there are some photos of the new 1st Class area on Facebook. It looks quite smart. The layout is the same as on the 360s, but with a pair of very generous tables, complete with inductive charging.

Again very underwhelming - a poor design of standard class seat in a worse location. I thought the 450s were going to get Fisa Lean seats like the 444s?
