I was on a part refurbished 450 the other day between Waterloo and Feltham. I thought the new seats were much better than the old ones and also the new 700 ones.

The seats aren't actually new, just returned to the state they were in when new. It makes a big difference I agree, they are much more comfortable now. I am not a fan of the repadded, leather seats in First Class though.I was on a part refurbished 450 the other day between Waterloo and Feltham. Personally I find no difference between any of the replaced cushions be they be SWR, SWT or GA (360). Presumably all standard Grammer cushions of the correct profile.I'm not so keen... The SWR 450 seat squab felt a little 'ridged' and concave to me... I can't remember now if there were seams in the material? Whereas the SWT one feels like a single smooth convex cushion, and the recently-replaced ones are very comfy. I should point out that I'm very skinny so feel every imperfection
All 444s (bar 444034) that still have SWT livery now carry SWR branding.
450016 is, I believe, SWR-logoed - you happened to miss that one in a sea of other numbers (so it's highly understandable!)Thanks both, all added!
All 458s have SWR logos.Update for the livery list that @superalbs is doing a super job on: all the 707s and 456s now have SWR branding over the SWT Suburban Red livery.
159011 has ventured north to Brush for its refurb & repaint; 159008 now carries SWR stickers, along with 159108, 158882, 158885 and 158886.

450011 still carries SWT livery (but has SWR logos).
450s 001-024, 026, 029, 030, 032, 038, 039, 545, 550, 554, 560, 562, 567, 570, 073, 088, 091, 096, 103, 104, 106, 108, 118, 120, 123 and 126 now have SWR logos.
455s 5743 through 5749 can be removed entirely.
(455750 was initially numbered 455743, but was renumbered to 5750 after Wimbledon EMU Depot won an award for quality with regard to BS 5750 - a nice bit of trivia).
455/7s:
5701, 5704 to 5719, 5721 to 5723, 5725 to 5742 and 5750 all now have SWR logos.
455/8s:
5847, 5848, 5850, 5852, 5854 to 5862, 5864 to 5866, and 5868 to 5874 all now have SWR logos.
I remember someone else on this thread (maybe even you) had mentioned that before, so I didn't include them in the analysis as a result. Besides, they're already mentioned as being SWR-logoed on the Page 1 list. All 458s have SWR logos.
Fair enough.I remember someone else on this thread (maybe even you) had mentioned that before, so I didn't include them in the analysis as a result. Besides, they're already mentioned as being SWR-logoed on the Page 1 list.
I'm seeing SWR-liveried 158/159s on more or less a daily basis now. Bit of an irony given that they will be the last units to receive a full SWR refurb.159011 has returned today in the new livery.
Southern has a good carpetUnfortunately the carpet and seat covers are not hiding the dirt as expected but rather showing it up far worse than in the SWT interior.
What happened at Bournemouth depot?Got some intel from someone who works in SWR's fleet department that the programme for the 444s/450s is slightly behind schedule, what with the Wimbledon derailment & the side-swipe at Bournemouth Depot.
I was told, on a more positive note, that 444044 is currently having its interior done...
I think one unit got a bit too close to another at a set of points - not sure I know which units they were, but the event's understandably dented the timeframe of the refurb programme. What happened at Bournemouth depot?
You don't need an internal source to figure that out ;PGot some intel from someone who works in SWR's fleet department that the programme for the 444s/450s is slightly behind schedule
Indeed not - the fact that it is behind time is common knowledge here! It was more the reasons why the delays were so compounded that I enquired with said internal source. You don't need an internal source to figure that out ;P
It'll perhaps account for some of the delay, but the loss of a couple of units completely spannering the program seems a little odd. They've clearly got additional issues given that we've yet to see a fully refurbished unit as well.Indeed not - the fact that it is behind time is common knowledge here! Very true - the devil is in the detail. It'll perhaps account for some of the delay, but the loss of a couple of units completely spannering the program seems a little odd. They've clearly got additional issues given that we've yet to see a fully refurbished unit as well.
