The Airshow that was due to be held August 2015 (cancelled due to the events at Shoreham) has been re-arranged. It's now due to be held on May 28th 2016.

Have any improvements been made to the Station to allow it to be used on the day? Allegedly, the bridge was unable to cope will large crowds using it, so Network Rail refused Northern Rail permission to make extra stops on the day of the Airshow.

Funnily enough, when I went past last Thursday there was scaffolding on the bridge. Hopefully they are strengthening it.

That scaffolding was there when the TPE/BLS tracker stopped there in November. 175 passengers and staff and I had the honour of despatching the train from there!

It just appears to be there, cant recall seeing any purpose for it. Painting the bridge seems the only logical explination.
