Broken down train between Peterborough and Grantham
Train services are being disrupted due to a broken down train between Peterborough and Grantham. Short notice alterations, cancellations and severe delays can be expected. Due to further developments there is no estimate for a normal service to resumeUpdates:10:31 Virgin Trains are accepting GNER tickets until further notice.
10:39 GNER advise that any delayed passengers with Eurostar connections should go to Waterloo Int and make themselves known at the Travel Centre for passing on later services.
11:20 Train services are on the move in the affected area.
GNER advise that passengers with tickets dated for travel today can also use them on Saturday 4 March 2006.

Some trains are running up to 220 minutes late, for example the 0630 Newcastle-London (If you're wondering why I specified Belle Isle as the timing point, the reason is to preserve the links for longer - if I used King's Cross the links would expire as soon as the train arrived. The Actual arrival time at King's Cross will still be shown as 'Expected' when the train arrives as this is how the system works).

2 1/2 hrs is a long time from Glasgow to Edinburgh (http://www.livedepartureboards.co.uk/ldb/train.aspx?C=KGX&T=KNGXBEL&J=1307757&Y=A&R=0&A=0 ) !

Fortunately there aren't any trains caught up in both incidents, or they could have been 4-5 hours late!

Edinburgh-Dyce has failed in Kirkcaldy Station apparently with a brake
problem."
