Why is it that when doing extended searches on the TfL site Journey Planner it seems to "give up" after a while? You can do a (set?) number of searches, after which the entire site fails to load correctly for quite while, often several hours.

Can anyone explain this please?

Current guess, to prevent 3rd party scrapers etc using their search facilty? Sounds like it's delibrately coded that way.
