No it wasnt! Sorry Not sure what happened there! I'll try and change it.that wasnt my post you quoted!

However it is showing as skipping all the request stops which is unusual so even if a unit something event related? It's booked a 2 car 197. The only time it is ever actually booked a Mk4 is when there's amended diagrams/timetables on event days things may be slightly different but in normal working it's not.
I think we're talking at cross purposes here! However it is showing as skipping all the request stops which is unusual so even if a unit something event related?
no it’s a 197Looks to be planned mk4 as the calling pattern is different too.
I've heard talks that this one is confirmed with another date for this sort of thing mentioned somewhere. It may of course change at short notice of course! The other one, on the 22nd I've not seen anything official but with the amended stopping pattern and event day it does look highly likely that a Mk4 is being proposed to run that.
I thought the 0853 from Cardiff was a mk4, at least it was for all of 2024?It’s booked to be a 197
It’s booked a 67 & set, Monday - Friday only,I thought the 0853 from Cardiff was a mk4, at least it was for all of 2024?
This is what I have pointed out, it matches up with the match times quite well!On Sat Feb 22, it appears from RTT that it's 1V92 (0629 Holyhead-Cardiff) which is down for a Mk4 set.
It then comes back from Cardiff as 1W96 at 1723 on a slightly different schedule to Mon-Fri.
1415 kick off in Cardiff, for the wooden spoon.

I think that is where the confusion has happened. Different diagrams on a Saturday to a Weekday due to there being 1 less diagram on Saturdays. It’s booked a 67 & set, Monday - Friday only,
On a Saturday it’s booked a unit
As it was at the end of year as well.
AFAIK with Seatfrog you would Just bid on the Cardiff-Manchester bit and ignore the other, it says you can buy an upgrade before you have bought the actual ticket so that wouldn't seem a blocker.Regarding the Seatfrog upgrade to first class, ive downloaded the app and looked for upgrades on the day im travelling and nothing on there yet, however ive checked on another date for this coming week and there are upgrades for £10 Cardiff to Manchester.
So is it just a case of wait until just before and then they become available? Also as my journey is actually Neath to Manchester on an advance ticket changing at Cardiff for the MK4 will it accept the upgrade when i enter my booking reference as the system will know there isnt any first class on that particular service from Neath to Cardiff?
Also if for some reason it isnt a MK4 is it easy to get a refund if booked via Seatfrog? Any advice please?
Thank you for the information. My journey is 0853 on 19th February so hopefully by the start of next week will have a better idea.AFAIK with Seatfrog you would Just bid on the Cardiff-Manchester bit and ignore the other, it says you can buy an upgrade before you have bought the actual ticket so that wouldn't seem a blocker.
Refunds look quite easy and are able to just go through the app theres a request refund section. Anything not Mk4 planned will have the upgrade option withdrawn.
Mostly correct only changes look to be:How I have things

67013 is now on HD07, 67025 is also planned to go onto HD07 and all of it heads over to the ETD tomorrow for tyre turning on the rake.
Locoless HD05 is now on B exam so the HD01/02/03/04/06 will hold the fort on the 5 diagrams for now, HD01 is the only set to stop for exam this week but that is by Friday so can run all week.
Badly worded but yes 67013+025 both on HD07 over from Crewe ATC to ETD tomorrow.Sorry
Is that right with set 7 mentioned twice ?
Thanks
Found it and is definitely planned for a 67. Same set just out and back with a few hours on Canton. This is what I have pointed out, it matches up with the match times quite well!
Ah of course - hadn’t clocked it was the weekend! It’s booked a 67 & set, Monday - Friday only,

1W11 - 197042
Issue with 67029 set 4 ?
Same diagram will be substituted tomorrow due to issues with HD04, it's not expected back until Wednesday afternoon. It is a shame that it is that diagram that has ended up substituted (20-9)
Now upgraded to a 3 car !197042 on the 16:30 from Manchester will be cosy
It is a shame that it is that diagram that has ended up substituted (20-9)
Its also a shame that the 1630 has been curtailed to now end in Cardiff due to (apparently) Canton not being able to take 2 terminating MK4's at the same time? Why not run the ECS back from Swansea a bit later. We waited so long for 1 MK4 in each direction from Swansea and now the morning service has been fairly reliable we have lost the return evening service.197042 on the 16:30 from Manchester will be cosy

I strongly agree. Maybe it could form the morning service from Swansea? Its also a shame that the 1630 has been curtailed to now end in Cardiff due to (apparently) Canton not being able to take 2 terminating MK4's at the same time? Ive a feeling it wouldnt be possible to stable overnight at Swansea. Im sure someone in the know would be able to explain the reasons but im guessing the set needs to be prepared at Canton is one of the reasons. But it would be a good idea if it was possible.I strongly agree. Maybe it could form the morning service from Swansea?
