TFW - liverpool to chester route

hello, do you think this service will revert back to an hourly service from June and will they still be operating a new service to Shrewsbury and Cardiff from Liverpool in 2022?

I think there's a "don't know" on both of those.
The 2-hourly Liverpool service continues as far as the eye can see (to December).
The planned extensions beyond Chester/Wrexham await the arrival of new trains to boost the fleet, and that is going very slowly.
There currently are no through services from Chester beyond Shrewsbury (except to Birmingham) - nothing at all to Cardiff.

Initially I was pleased that TfW were awarded the Liverpool - Runcorn - Chester route instead of notorious Northern, now I am not so sure!

Northern seem to do the bare minimum they can get away with in Cheshire and TfW Rail seems to be heading that way as well now.

The next timetable tweak is currently planned for early September so thats the earliest it can change, it certainly wont rise in June. Not guaranteed it will, but it wont be before then.

I believe the extensions are currently pencilled in for December 2022 timetable but things can and probably will change.
