Indeed. Since then they've lost the usual amount of staff through normal turnover, but they've not been able to replace those staff at the usual pace owing to Covid. They also weren't trying to train staff at Chester depot on not one but two completely new tractions - meaning they need more staff than normal.But they did before the pandemic.
This has all been pointed out many times before, and contrary to popular belief TfW are doing everything they can to get full services restored whilst also getting staff trained on the new tractions that are required for the new timetable that everyone is desperate to see in service.
