I think they should keep this First Class set in the Rhymney Valley and have a waiter service for all the hard done by commuters on this route!

And a real ale bar in the buffet car for the cranks!

It's looking highly unlikely that they will be ready to start passenger services next Monday though

Hi, long time reader, first time poster!
Is the training a regular evening thing please? I'd probably have a ride tomorrow evening (from just north of Welshpool) to see a 37 if so.
Thanks!

Not the greatest suggestion I've come up with but what about leaving the vestibule doors open and the door windows open? It shouldn't be too bad as the 37's do 80/90mph, + with short gaps between stops you shouldn't get too much of a draft.

Not a chance they'll get up that kind of speed. Most of the line is 60mph or less, and with the gaps between stations being so short it'll be doing well to even hit that kind of speed.

so this is legit then? is the word on the HST use as legit?

Current internal rumours are that HSTs are no longer happening. Certainly no training has taken place.

With just one loco rather than two as per Wherry Lines, I think 45-50 between stops is probably about right unless there are any long sections between stations?

A routine Tweet from TFW states additional stock on Valleys from June when training completed

I guess the 153s from GWR being used to replace 150s on some services where 153s are allowed to operate (Pembroke Dock etc), allowing those 150s to be used on the Valleys?

Aside from North of Radyr (not cleared) and the Blaneau Ffestiniog branch (no crew with traction knowledge), anywhere a 150 can go a 153 can go as well - including the rest of the Valleys network. If the 153s did get used on Pembroke Dock, I would hope it would be in multiple the summer season is rapidly approaching.
