Yes it appears that 446 went into service sometime last week and has been seen on the Lime Street-Wigan service.
Yesterday 446 was noted on the Manchester Airport to Blackpool North service.Yes it appears that 446 went into service sometime last week and has been seen on the Lime Street-Wigan service.
Was this the unit "dressed up" as a 769 and numbered 769000 at Rail Live?It looks like 319426 is another unit for Northern, it's currently at Long Marston in Northern's livery.

Did you use Split tickets to get there? Thanks all for the updates, sorry I've just returned from a week's holiday in Croatia.
Looool, no not quite. Went to Dubrovnik instead. Was brilliant out there though, would highly recommend it to anyone who likes a bit of history and somewhere new to visitDid you use Split tickets to get there?
RAIL magazine 860 (Refurbishment for 319)
Stored 319373 has moved to Wolverton works for internal refurbishment, before moving to Northern. Porterbrook is supplying additional four car 319s to cover for lack of FLEX Class 769s. Of the 26 319/3s sent off lease by Govia Thameslink Railway, 24 had moved to Northern in several batches entering traffic from 2015 onwards. That left two (319372/373) stored at Long Marston. both have now been leased to Northern with the former in traffic
This has now been updated, thanksREAD POST #1
319 372 is now in traffic. NOT stored at Wolverton

It's already with Northern, but haven't seen any photos of it in service yet. Maybe they'll use that opportunity to paint the unit into Northern colours?319373 is coming to Northern, but only on a short term loan. We've had a brief about it as it has not had the PRM modifications ie it still has the original 2 toilets, door open buttons, roller destination blind etc, although guard door controls have been fitted at each position.
Not happening. 372 and 446 aren't being Northernised and they're on short term lease, 373 is short term loan so it's going to be here for only a matter of months. It's already there. Maybe they'll use that opportunity to paint the unit into Northern colours.
That's interesting, thought Northern wanted to take on all 319/3's with 319446 becoming a FLEX unitNot happening. 372 and 446 aren't being Northernised and they're on short term lease, 373 is short term loan so it's going to be here for only a matter of months.
319214 was moved from Wolverton to Crewe Centre Sidings on Monday, any idea who's taking this?

There have been plans like that before but they have all since been droppedSeems insane all these great units going to waste. Why don’t they put them with South Eastern who have a massive stock shortage. Or bring them back over on the Central section. I miss the streak of yellow as the Connex class 319 “Brighton Express” units sped south through Clapham Junction.
I wouldn't call the 319s 'great' but personally. They are cramped and increasingly dilapidated and only have <10 years left in them. Not to mention they are an inferior unit to the many of the trains they have replaced on the Northern network in the 323s.Seems insane all these great units going to waste. With the May timetable change there is now a Lime Street-Piccadilly-Airport-Crewe service which is shared between 319s and 323s. So whilst the 319s now additionally work on the Airport-Wilmslow-Crewe services the 323s now work on Piccadilly to Lime Street service and also from Lime Sreet to Warrington Bank Quay. So not a takeover but a job share.I wouldn't call the 319s 'great' but personally. They are cramped and increasingly dilapidated and only have <10 years left in them. However if the 769 project is a success though, they are certainly an upgrade on the 150s/156s in Northern's network and could be an affordable panacea as a large expensive new diesel train order would be very difficult.
