Has anyone any records appertaining to any actual timetabled services that would have called at all the following four railway stations:-
Anston
Dinnington and Laughton
Maltby
Tickhill and Wadworth

I think that one of those stations once was closed for a period of time due to bacterial infection caused by horse faeces.

Infrequent passenger services (run by the GCR/GNR initially, but after 1 year just the GCR) started on 1 December 1910 and finished on 2 December 1929, but were suspended for 15 months during and following the 1926 General Strike. Anston opened slightly later in 1912. A Bradshaw guide from this period should show them - they are not in my April 1910 Bradshaw reprint. The stations were poorly sited for the places they purported to serve.

The July 1922 Bradshaw reprint shows one round trip in the morning from Worksop (7.35) to Doncaster (all stations, arr 8.30), returning at 9.07 (arrive Worksop at 10.00). There was a Saturday lunchtime service - Worksop (11.20)-Doncaster(12.15), returning at 1.55p.m., arriving back at Worksop at 2.48p.m.. Late afternoon run - Worksop (3.47)-Doncaster (4.42), returning at 5.52 to Worksop at 6.46. No Sunday service.

Hope that helps.

December 1910 - 4 trains a day (weekdays only) each way Doncaster - Shireoaks
October 1911 - 3 trains a day (weekdays only) each way Doncaster - Shireoaks
1912 - closure during coal strike
1917 - Saturdays only until 1919
1921- closure during coal strike
July 1922 as above
1926 - closure during coal strike
November 1927 - two trains a day each way Doncaster - Worksop
November 1929 Worksop12:00 Maltby 12:30, Maltby 12:40 Worksop 13:10 - not very useful from a passengers point of view.
1930's - evening and weekend seaside excursions
1935 - 1937 - Saturday services to Doncaster and Sheffield - never in Bradshaw
