I've opened a gallery for the Berliner (British Military Train) which ran twice over the weekend. It was a cracking event and I should have all the photos loaded by tomorrow:

Good pictures. I heard about this train over the weekend on the BBC News. I thought it was steam hauled? Who were the lucky passengers out of interest?. what was the route?

It was steam hauled. 03 1010 did the honours - a superb machine. There was a real mix of guests over the two day with lots of ex-military types who'd previously travelled on the train when it was running in anger.

The two oldest chaps both served in 1944-48 and travelled on it when it first ran in 1947:
